Again another perfect day on one of the Great Lakes. Lake Huron was angry at us in 2008 but sure made up for it these past two days. Other than the small annoyance of having to fuel up ($1200 worth) after yesterday's hard run, we fed the "Twins" for a second day and managed to reach Mackinaw City a mere 187 miles. That is about the same distance that we travelled across the Gulf in 2010 from Carabelle to Clearwater, FL. only this was easier... no crab pots just a few fishing nets around Thunder Bay. For my geographically challenged friends that is not a town in Ontario but rather a bay just north of Harrisville, MI.
We decided to stay at the new Straits State Harbor. A nice harbor with some fancy friends.
Well tomorrow I get to order my parts for the water heater and should be good to go by Wednesday or Thursday.
In the meantime we will enjoy both smoked and fresh fish from the fishery which is just next door.
