This is the town of Montague just across the lake from Whitehall where we are located. We are at the far end of a five mile long lake and it is only a ten minute walk to the other town. The people are so friendly here. At the supermarket one of the clerks spent about 5 minutes with us discussing the different wines that they had in stock. They also had the largest selection of beers that I have ever seen including our own Brewers Retail. We stopped at the Ship's Store on the way back and a salesperson who completed the loop in 2006 offered the use of his vehicle if we needed one.
That evening we decided to have a pizza and beer party. So all of us from the other 4 boats got aboard Lazy Dolphin and spent a great evening together. The next morning we borrowed the marina's manager's car and 4 of us headed to the farmers market in Montague. It was the best we have visited thus far.
We seemed to have weathered the winds very well although we were in a very protected bay. I got more sleep than Linda as she got woke a number of times by the gusts of winds and the rocking of the boat. Did I mention that the people are friendly here. This marina is primarily full of seasonal boaters and every person bare none stopped and talked to us. They offered assistance, invited us to their happy hours and even invited us to their end of season pot luck dinner.
